Random Thought
or, I Meditate on Some Recent Thoughts I Had
I always have trouble thinking of things to write about. I feel like, with a blog-like platform, I should only write long, meandering posts about something or other. This can be enlightening, but also causes me to procrastinate about writing (story of my life, pretty much), and make it a chore.
So, I’m going to just write out short thoughts about things, just to show myself I can make this fun for me.
People Who Complain About “Wokeness” in TTRPG updates (DnD, Pathfinder, etc.) actually have no Imagination and are Boring people.
If you follow “Dungeons and Dragons” at all, you might have noticed WOTC (Wizards of the Coast) has made some lore changes to make the game more inclusive to wider groups of fans. Of course, with the discourse surrounding everything today, the worst kinds of people (Conservatives, Incels, Elon Musk) are yelling about DnD going “Woke”, and how WOTC ruining the game.
One of the positives of DnD, and Tabletop Role Playing Games (TTRPG) in general, is that you can create literally whatever reality you want. You want to never miss an attack roll? You never want to fight anyone ever? You want to just make a straight up Kobol orgy? All possible. The sky is the literal limit. You could even play earlier editions of DnD (hope you like doing all that math in DnD 1e!).
If you’re the kind of person who decries positive changes, and can’t seem to figure out how to play the game, you just broadcast to the world that you’re really stupid, have no imagination, and just bore everyone around you with your stupid-ass opinions. Maybe I should feel bad for you, but I don’t. Made spend more time crafting the game you’d want to play, and less time complaining how you “forced” to call Orcs “Raiders” instead of “Savages”.
Dishwashers should keep buttons on the outside of the door.
My Dishwasher, which is a newer model, has the buttons on the inner rim of the door. I noticed my parent’s dishwasher also has the same type. I think that’s what a lot of new ones are like. I’m sure this is for aesthetic purposes, because what other reason would this be for.
Personally, I think this is stupid. It makes it annoying to check on anything in the dishwasher once you start it, makes it hard to see how long you have left on a cycle, and gives you the added worry of opening it too quickly and potentially flooding your kitchen.
God Forbid you see a single button on the outside of the dishwasher! Maybe I’m not very stylish, but I almost never go into someone’s kitchen, see buttons on the outside of the dishwasher, and become instantly nauseous.
Europeans should move away from Manual Transmissions on their cars.
I’m pretty open-minded about most things, especially with other cultures. Europeans mainly driving only manual transmission cars is one cultural thing I can’t get behind. It seems like it just makes it harder to get around, especially with their roads being more compact. Maybe that’s why public transportation is so good over there, because it’s such a pain to learn how to drive.
I’m sure they have a good reason, but I think with this, they should get rid of the manual, because it’s dumb.

Those are some thoughts I have. Some deeper than others, but all valid. I’m open to my mind being changed (except about the DnD one), because to have a closed mind is to invite hatred into your heart.
Maybe I’ll write down some dreams I recently had on future entries, as I’ve taken to writing down my dreams over this last year.
